Zlatan has a spastic tetraplegy with a major curvature of the spine
Zlatan is a very bright and lively nine year old boy who gets around with the help of a rollator in spite of his condition. He suffers more and more debilitating effects from his curved spine, making the seated position impossible. The Foundation’s technicians have equipped him with a body cast. Thanks to this he is able to integrate normally in the orphanage and can participate in the daily activities with the other children.
Support Costs: CHF 1,000 per annum*
* To be truly effective the therapeutic care must be extended to adulthood for these children. As they grow the equipment has to be adapted. This needs to be done on an annual basis.
